Somehow, I’ve managed to get very little done.
Though I’ve been given a fair bit of free time this past week, I haven’t quite used it how I planned. Originally, I had planned to take every tiny scrap of free time and use it to write. Turns out, that other people seem hell bent on stealing said tiny scraps of free time.
So I’ve decided to plan.
I’ve taken my notebook (my calendar) and taken a look at what time I have. So far, it looks like that most days of the week (3 or 4), I’ll be able to write for about 2 hours. One of the remaining days, it looks like I’ll only be able to eek out 1 hour and in whatever days are left, I can probably get 3 or more hours of writing time.
A couple of those days, I’ll have an hour or so devoted to researching the novel idea that’s currently stewing around in my brain, becoming more and more me. Other days, I’ll devote that hour to plotting out the second Opus book.
Speaking of said work-in-progress, I’ve decided that I’ll no longer be calling it Opus and instead MysteryNovel. For no other reason than because I want to and it makes me snigger to myself.
Let me rephrase–in that blocked out hour, I’ll be outlining/plotting for MysteryNovelSequel. AND, AND, AND in that time, I’ll also be compiling my list of agents I’m going to query. More on that in a different post.
I don’t know what I’ll call the novel currently cooking round and round in my head. Maybe MythNovel. Or SchoolNovel.
Yes, I do know those two things seem incongruous. Just wait, and yes, be a little afraid.
I’m sorry for the absence, penmokeys. I’ll try to be better about this. Maybe I’ll schedule time to blog, too.
Meh, deadline. We’ll see about this deadline.
PS: I have other bits edited already. This WC/PC is just the new things. I have yet to piece in the old and only slightly edited sections into the new document. PS over.
